For many of us, the opportunity for creativity and expression is one of the best parts of steampunk. However, it can often feel like you have no outlet. Oh sure, you can always wear a top hat, goggles, and spatterdashes to the grocery store, but...well, face it. That can get old.

Are you a steampunk creator looking for an outlet? Do you have some great steampunk outfits, inventions, or home décor you’re just dying to show off? Do you have a steampunk resource or product you would like featured? Do you have an idea for a steampunk-related article you would like to write?

You’ve come to the right place!

Here’s what to do:
Send an email to factsofsteampunklife@gmail.com. Please write a clear subject line that gives me at least some clue about your idea, for example: “Costume Tutorial” or “My New Steampunk Living Room”. (Generic subject lines like “Steampunk” aren’t very helpful.)
Introduce me to you and your idea. I don’t need a novel-length dissertation, just a few facts. Tell me about your personal approach to steampunk, and how that unique approach shines through the project or article you want to present. Tell me why you love steampunk. Tell me how and why your presentation will be fun and inspiring for other steampunkers.
If your presentation includes pictures, include one or two (no more than that in the first email, please) as attachments.
If your introduction looks like a good fit with The Facts of Steampunk Life’s goals (See the Newcomers/FAQ page) I’ll ask to see the rest of your presentation. If I like it and it fits the qualifications of clean, fun, and positive, I’ll send you an invitation to be featured on the home page of the blog. If your presentation includes photos, you will also have the option of appearing on one of The Facts of Steampunk Life’s Pinterest boards.
It’s that simple!
